Privacy Policy
Effective: October 16, 2026
HTML6 Games (the "Service") respects your privacy and complies with applicable laws, including the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how we protect it.
1. Information we collect
- Sign-up and sign-in: email address, nickname, password (stored encrypted by the authentication service; we cannot see it). With Google sign-in (including One Tap): your Google account's email, name and profile photo URL.
- Guest accounts (joining the leaderboard with just a nickname): the nickname you enter and a randomly generated account ID. Nothing else, such as an email, is collected, and the account only works on this device. Linking Google or email turns it into a regular account.
- Usage records: favorites, best score and play count per game, recently played games, preferred language.
- Ranking: your nickname and best scores are visible to other users.
- Ratings and comments: your star ratings and comments are shown publicly with your nickname. You can edit or delete them at any time.
- Contact and reports: your message and, if provided, a reply email.
- Analytics: cookies, device and browser information, approximate location, referral source, and game events (Google Analytics).
- Stored only on your device: records made while signed out, and language, theme and analytics-consent settings (browser storage, never sent to our servers).
2. How we use it
- To identify you and let you sign in
- To save your game records, sync them across devices and show rankings
- To answer inquiries and prevent abuse
- To analyze usage and improve the Service
3. Retention
- Account information and game records: deleted without delay when you delete your account.
- Inquiries and reports: deleted within one year after they are resolved.
- Analytics data: deleted after the Google Analytics retention period (up to 14 months).
- Where the law requires retention, we keep data for the required period.
4. Processors and international transfer
The Service uses Google LLC's Firebase (authentication, database, hosting), Google sign-in (Google Identity Services) and Google Analytics, so your information may be transferred outside your country.
- Recipient: Google LLC (contact: support.google.com/policies)
- Countries: the United States and other countries where Google operates data centers (the game-record database is stored in Seoul, South Korea)
- Items: those listed in section 1
- When and how: transmitted over encrypted connections while you use the Service
- Retention: as in section 3
If you do not want this transfer, you can choose not to sign up and decline analytics; features that require an account will then be unavailable.
5. Sharing with third parties
We do not share your personal information with third parties except as required by law.
6. Your rights
- Access: see your records on My page.
- Correction: change your nickname on My page.
- Deletion: use Delete account on My page to delete your account and all records.
- Other requests, such as restricting processing: use the contact page.
7. Cookies and analytics
To improve the Service, Google Analytics uses cookies to collect visit statistics (see "Analytics" above). We never send information that identifies you, such as your email or name.
- Analytics is on by default and you can turn it off below at any time. Turning it off deletes the analytics cookies.
- If you visit from a region that requires prior consent, such as the EU or the UK, we ask on your first visit and turn it on only if you agree.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we do not collect analytics.
- You can also block cookies in your browser settings. Every game works with analytics off.
8. Children
Children under 14 may not create an account. If we learn that we have collected information from a child under 14, we will delete it immediately.
9. Security
- All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Database security rules let each user read and write only their own records.
- Passwords are stored encrypted by the authentication service and are not visible to us.
10. Contact
For privacy questions, complaints or requests, please use the contact page.
11. Changes
If we change this policy, we will post a notice on the site and update the effective date.
